Random photos by Opal episode #1

My husband is in love with cameras and photography.... it is his passion and art. He has been taking pictures of everything that crosses his path since he was a teenager. He takes amazingly beautiful pictures of our family and other noteworthy things( antique books, cobblestone roads, clouds, statues, tiny plants hiding under waterfalls). He also has a love for taking pictures of strange and random things   (sprouting potatoes, bugs sitting on antique books, rotten pieces of wood, a pot of water on the stove) and slightly disturbing things(animal bones, assorted trash, cemeteries, sad animals at the zoo). His photography is one of the things I admire most about him. He is able to see things in a way that I can't... imagine things in a whole different light than most... he really can make a dead frog look good.... or at least intriguing.
He is training up our children in his ways. All four of the older kids can use a camera. They all can take a fairly decent pictures too(of their friends, toys, bikes, nature). Opal, however, has picked up Roger's eye for the unusual more than the others(she has also mastered the artsy self-portrait). I never know what I will find on our little cannon point and shoot. Here are a few highlights.
