As I mentioned last year, Roger's fantastically talented sister, Jennifer has hand-made Halloween costumes for our kids every year for(about)the last 10 years. It is a sweet and lovely tradition that has become the centerpiece to our Halloween festivities each year. The kids know that as soon as the first day of school hits in September, it is time to decide what you want to be for Halloween. Then we take the yearly measurements and email them to Auntie Jennifer with their costume requests.
In a few weeks........

the costumes arrive(either hand delivered by Auntie herself or in a lovingly packed parcel delivered to us by our friends at UPS.) and the kids are never disappointed(and neither am I!).
The kids have collected quite the assortment of costumes and our dress-up box has the most delightful array of dresses, hats, capes, tu-tus and such a kid could ever dream of. On top of year long dress-up fun, every year we also are almost always able to lend a few costumes of years gone by out to our friends(this year we had little friends borrow my all time favorite costume-Little Bo Peep and the painfully cute Pumpkin Princess costume). I love that the kids get so much use out of these lovingly made costumes. These costumes are certainly a treasured collection and will surely be the root of a million wonderful memories when my children are grown.
The only compensation for these fabulous frocks that Jennifer has ever asked for has been ample photos of the kids in their costumes. Here are a few of the highlights from this year.......
Alice in Wonderland
Luke Skywalker
Princess Leia
