Our snowy Christmas

Well... if you live in or around Portland you know all about the snow. I am not going to go into the details of the obnoxious drama that is frozen Portland or that INSANE cabin fever that comes with 5 children stuck in the house with almost a FULL week of school CANCELLED  immediately followed by a 2 week long school break!!!! Or the part about the car being stuck in the driveway and leaving me house bound with five bored and angry children, or the part where my parents could not make it to my house on Christmas day. No... we are not going to talk about that.
What I will say is that we had a gloriously beautiful snowy Christmas. It was just us and our dear friend Jen. There were very few distractions, it was quiet(relatively speaking), it was calm, it was sweet. We played, we rested, we cooked, we ate, we frolicked in the snow(yes, even I frolicked). A beautiful day surrounded by the ones we love the most. It was a wonderful day to remind us of how deeply blessed we are by the One who came to this earth to give of Himself. Just lovely.

Now..... the snow can go away.
