Dedicating Ezra

Today we dedicated to raise our beautiful son Ezra in the ways of Christ. We stood before our church surrounded by our family and a group of amazing people who have walked through so much with us. We celebrated this life that Christ has blessed us with and took a moment to acknowledge that gift. It was a lovely moment.

My  heart is very full with thankfulness tonight and there is much I could say but I will let this beautiful poem that my dear friend Jen wrote to Ezra say it for me......

Ezra Bravery-
You are a gift
A gift full of hope and belief
As I snuggle you with your sly sultan grin
You help me to believe, to hope, to dream
I held your mommy in my arms once long before you and thought maybe it was over
And I held a little girl in my arms once and thought it may be over for me too
Through it all our Father held us both, your mom and me
And He holds you, He knit you, He perfectly prepared you
Don't ever forget that, don't ever turn from that truth
That beautiful day I held you and you were here and you were real and you were good.....
That day I stopped, I breathed and I learned more how to believe
So often I long to hold you and breathe that same breath over and over
To keep breathing in that breath of belief, of hope
You'll grow up and you'll get big, but I'll never forget how you've come to be
Amidst a miracle of hope and the bravery of belief

By the way, I gave you an award on my blog, so stop by if you have a chance! :)

What!? We actually got up in time to make it to the 9 o'clock for once and we miss the fab five on stage! The first time I've ever regretted making it to the 9 ;)

Love you and love Ezra and really like the poem Jen wrote for you all.
